Where to find B2B leads in Romania

Six sources compared: what you get, what it costs, how long it takes and how warm the leads are

A good lead is not just a company. It is a company that needs you.

Lead sources differ in volume, cost and how ready the person at the other end is. The right choice depends on your ideal customer and on how quickly you need the first conversations.

Volume from lists, warmth from referrals.

In short: in Romania, B2B leads come from six sources: (1) company lists filtered by CAEN code, county and size, (2) newly established companies, (3) public tenders, (4) LinkedIn, (5) referrals and events, (6) your own website. For a steady volume, the fastest source is a company list filtered by your ideal customer profile and checked before contact; referrals bring the warmest leads, but few of them and hard to plan.

Before the source: the ideal customer

Look at your ten best current customers and note what they have in common: field (CAEN code), area, turnover, number of employees, company age. These become the filters of your list. All the prospecting steps are in the B2B prospecting guide.

How to make contact legally

Phone calls made by a person and offers sent by post are allowed, provided you inform the person contacted; commercial emails and text messages require the recipient’s prior consent, including when the recipient is a company (Romanian Law 506/2004, Art. 12). Frequently asked questions

Short answers about B2B lead sources.

What is a B2B lead?

A company, together with its decision maker, that matches your customer profile and can buy what you sell. A cold lead is just on a list; a qualified lead has been checked (active, the right size) or has shown interest.

How much does a B2B lead list cost?

On Firmeo, the price depends on the number of companies and the fields you choose, and you see it on the page before ordering, with the volume discount applied automatically. You pay once, with no subscription; prices exclude VAT.

Can I buy leads with email addresses?

Yes: you can make email a mandatory field and receive only the companies that have one. For commercial emails, however, you need the recipient’s prior consent (Romanian Law 506/2004, Art. 12), so the first contact is usually made by phone or post.

How do I filter leads by turnover?

In the selection you combine CAEN codes and county with the indicators from the latest financial statements: turnover, profit, number of employees. This removes companies that are too small or too large for your offer.

Are leads from newly established companies worth it?

Yes, for services every new company needs: accounting, banking, IT, premises, marketing, insurance. The need is immediate and the company does not yet have established suppliers. On Firmeo you receive the list weekly, by email.

LinkedIn or a company list?

Both, in this order: the list tells you which companies fit, LinkedIn shows you who decides in each one. A list without the decision maker means calls to the switchboard; LinkedIn without a list means searching at random.
